As a 42 student, during the good old I saw the need for a more organized way of talking about and approaching blockchain, Web3 and everything else that comes with it in my daily conversations with other students. Despite its growing importance in a variety of industries, it is not taught in universities or school curriculums. So I took the initiative to establish the Blockchain Club at 42 Heilbronn. This club was created to bring students together and share knowledge about blockchain technology and its various applications, as well as to provide an opportunity for all of us to explore and experiment with this emerging technology.
The Blockchain Club had three primary objectives:
- We intend to use 42’s peer-to-peer learning methodology to teach each other about various topics. We organized talks and workshops with one another, and soon with industry experts, to share knowledge and experience.
- Exploration: We are always on the lookout for hackathons, coding challenges, and other interactive activities where we can learn and network.
- Community: Our goal is to create a community of people who are interested in blockchain technology. We encourage our members to collaborate and share their knowledge.
We have accomplished the following since the inception of the Blockchain Club:
- Organize several meetings on blockchain fundamentals, smart contracts, hashing and cryptography, and decentralized applications.
- Created a community of 20 people who are enthusiastic about blockchain technology.
Although still in its early stages, the Blockchain Club at 42 is a huge success, and I am very proud of what we are accomplishing. We’ve built a platform for students to learn about, explore, and experiment with blockchain technology. Our community has grown, and we are collaborating with companies in the blockchain industry that are doing the same. I hope the Blockchain Club thrives at 42 and inspires other students to participate in similar initiatives.
